Rules of Storage and Backup
1.1 Rules of Storage and Backup (the “Rules”) are basic rules and procedures made by the EPEC E-commerce Co., Ltd., the operator (the “Platform Operator”) of EPEC International E-commerce platform (the “Platform”) regarding Platform data backup and recovering and ensuring the normal operation of application modules in the system in accordance with the E-commerce Law of the People's Republic of China and other relevant laws, rules and regulations.
1.2 The Platform Operator records, saves, stores and backups the information of goods and services, transaction information published on the Platform, and ensures the integrity, confidentiality and availability of the information.
1.3 The backup management includes backup production, recovery tactics, organizing and implementing backup, recovery operation, and instructions on storage, access to, change and registration of backup media.
1.4 Scope of application
The Rules are applicable for data storage and backup management of all applications on the Platform.
The Platform makes complete backup of the data on a regular basis, makes backup of logs, stores backup documents in the past seven days, and ensures the data can be recovered to any point of time within seven prior days starting with this time.
3.1 Basic requirements for backup
3.1.1 The service data and system data in important applications, operating systems and databank systems should make effective backup on a regular basis, which should be able to be recovered.
3.1.2 On a regular basis, the Platform Operator will check if the backup documents have record of backup failure. If there is such record, find out the fault cause and eliminate it.
3.1.3 For important data, make redundant backup and remote backup.
3.2 Data recovery
3.2.1 In case of system failure or data damage, the Platform Operator will recover backup data to ensure normal operation of the system;
3.2.2 The Platform Operator, on a regular basis, makes test of backup data recovery;
3.2.3 The recovery test includes backup data recovery, system recovery and troubleshooting and recovery, etc. The Platform Operator will examine the unrecoverable data promptly and verify the validity of the backup data.
3.2.4 The Platform Operator will eliminate the test environment data on a timely basis after finishing data recovery test.
4.1 The Platform Operator will keep the service data of backup confidential. The Platform Operator will obey the relevant laws and administrative regulations regarding the protection of personal information.
4.2 The Platform Operator is forbidden to disclose, copy or transmit service data or information to the external or irrelevant parties.
4.3 The Member’s registration information shall be kept in record for three years after the last time the relevant user logs in the Platform; The information of goods and services, the transaction information of each Member shall be kept in record for at least three years from the completion of the transaction.
4.4 The Platform Operator will show the Member or related individuals the way and procedure for searching, correcting and deleting the information, and will not set unreasonable conditions for searching, correcting and deleting the information. After the receiving the request from the Member or related individuals, the Platform Operator may in a timely manner provide, research, correct or delete information as requested after confirming the requestor’s identity.
5.1 The Rules shall be effective on January 1, 2019.
5.2 The Rules shall be interpreted by the Platform Operator.
5.3 The Platform Operator reserves the right to amend the Rules or formulate the supplementary rules and publicize the amended rules or the supplementary rules from time to time. The amended rules or relevant supplementary rules will be effective on the designated date in the public announcement. The Rules shall be legally binding on all relevant parties on the Platform from the effective date.
