  • Introduction:Solitec Engineering Ltd formed in 1974 was acquired by Rotolok Holdings in 1991. Solitec Engineering Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rotolok Holdings Ltd. The organisation employs approximately twenty people in Blaenavon and uses the Rotolok Group facility for all administration, accounts & purchasing activities The trading / registered address, head offices located in Tiverton, Devon the manufacturing premises are located in Blaenavon, South Wales in a modern 5000 square metre factory fully equipped for production in mild or stainless steel, aluminium, plastics and rubber. Stocks of component parts are stored on site, reducing manufacturing lead times and speeding reaction to customer’s needs. Fabrication facilities include a laser profiling cutter (Tiverton facility) suitable for mild steel up to 20 mm thick and stainless steel up to 16mm thick, plasma cutting systems, 125 ton press brakes, motorised rolls, guillotines, precision machining, welding, fabrication and finishing plant for a wide range of different products. Solitec Engineering Ltd is a UK market leader in solids handling and processing. The Company designs and manufacturers a comprehensive range of storage, discharge, feeding, weighing, conveying, mixing and drying equipment. All products are available in a variety of materials and sizes to meet the needs of industry. The products are designed to complement each other to form an array of equipment ideal for integration into complete plant systems as a turnkey package or as single items within existing installations. The execution of all contracts is controlled by the designated Project / Contracts Engineer, overseen by the General Manager with full back-up from the technical and testing facility within the Rotolok Group. Machine orders and plant system installation drawings are processed through an Autocad system, machined components including laser cutting equipment utilise the Autocad drawings created with their own CNC programmes, to ensure accurate components are processed uniformly to the requirements / standards in a consistent manner All accounts, administration & purchasing activities will be controlled from Rotolok Group headquarters at Tiverton in Devon. Over many years of supplying equipment to the Petrochemical Industries, particularly their Mixers / Homogenisers / Screw Conveyors, Solitec has developed and tailored their products to suit the everchanging high demands and higher standards of processed product required within the PP, PPE, Plastic & Chemical industry sectors, that are well-respected, reliable and competitively priced. Solitec forms part of the Rotolok Group that include companies such as, Rotolok Limited, Roots-Blowers Limited & Blotech Limited, they all produce high quality materials handling and processing equipment like Solitec. Rotolok Limited supply an extensive range of high quality rotary valves, Blotech supply a vast array of pneumatic conveying / powder handling equipment and Roots Blowers Limited supply Blower Packages (most Petrochemical plants have one on their sites), all of our products are used worldwide in various PPE,PP, Plastic & chemical producing plants. In particular, Rotolok have a comprehensive product range of valves that are Atex accredited and following recent successful completion of the rigorous testing process, Rotolok can now also offer a complete range of Rotary Valves certified as suitable for use as an explosion barrier to a maximum of 10bar and for explosion isolation for St1 and St2 dusts. Twelve different inlet sizes are available between 85 and 600mm, with Round or Square connection flanges, in Cast Iron or Stainless Steel. Baseefa certificate 11ATEX0127X accredits the range as Ex II D. within hazardous areas
