MTBE
It is a high octane (research octane number 115) gasoline additive. It has a much lower chemical oxygen content than methanol. It is good for warming up and fuel saving. It has low latent heat of evaporation and is good for cold start. It is often used for unleaded gasoline and Blending of low lead oil. It can also be re-cracked into isobutylene as a raw material for rubber and other chemical products.
